Spyros Emmanouilidis is a sound artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece and has been co-running Granny Records since 2009. He is interested in modern compositional methods of electronic music, creating multi-layered soundscapes that vary in tension, rhythm and texture. Experimenting with different sound sources, his compositions consist of field recordings, piano, vinyl samples and analogue synthesizers. He has composed music for performances at the Mediterranea 17 Young Artists Biennale in Milan, the Dimitria Festival in Thessaloniki and performed as a duet with Savvas Metaxas in several venues.
